Collaboration with Integrity

Collaboration-with-Integrity

  • Strand Leaders: Paul Coleman, Marcia de Chadenades
  • Strand Support: Vicky Coats
  • Strand Synthesizer: Laura Peticolas
  • Webinar: August 7

Objectives

  1. Identify, integrate, and synthesize: What does it look like to co-create, honor voice, honor different & complimentary value systems, to develop meaningful relationships? Have people reflect on their collaborative STEM projects in context for this question. People could also address in this time, ‘what looks like collaboration or we think is collaboration, but is not’
  2. Advance and Strengthen: Address this by recording what people have said and creating a record for what we have done in these collaborative projects, specifically looking at the collaboration models
  3. Formulate a research agenda: Some of the research questions are the questions we already have as guiding questions: by asking these questions, they determine their goals for collaborating and the relative importance for collaborating. What is everyone in this work for? Want to know that people’s goals are not contradicting each other – that there is a solid overlap in goals.
  4. Why collaborate?
  5. What is necessary to collaborate with integrity?
  6. When do you think it is best to not collaborate?
  7. What are the costs of not collaborating?
  8. What are the benefits of collaborating?
  9. Establish next steps: What are the outcomes and making that work for the group –birthing the next process. There are so many new ways of communicating. Having the youth in this session will be so important – to help us learn how to communicate how and why collaborate to the next generation.
